The humble process of sketching is a profound action that connects us to our world and to the practice of present minded awareness. Sketches are a complete artform in themselves as well as powerful tools for realizing ideas in drawing, design, painting, and in life. Through a wide range of techniques, instruction and demonstrations, learn how to sketch with ease and confidence. All levels welcome.

Fluid and Free Watercolor 🧍

Learn to effortlessly create beautiful, light-filled watercolors. Learn how to navigate the fluidity and express through color with more freedom, confidence and success. By exploring the characteristics of a variety of pigments, paper, tools, and techniques you will gain greater knowledge, facility and confidence in watercolor painting. All new projects adapted for all levels of participants.

Ceramics 🧍

Date: WED. & THURS. FEB. 7–APR. 11 (no class MAR. 13 & MAR. 14)

Time: 10 AM-12 PM

Fee: $250 (16 sessions)

Explore the ceramics studio for all levels, beginners encouraged. Spend Wednesday learning different techniques during hands on demonstrations and then utilize Thursdays for assisted independent study. All Art classes will be held in the Ceramics Studio Building west of the Powell Art Center

Seventeenth Annual Summer Drawing Camp 🧍

Immerse yourself in the creative process and build on the momentum of learning, practicing and drawing daily through a host of stimulating projects. Learn a variety of drawing techniques and concepts with an exciting range of materials. Gain knowledge of and appreciation for art history and art theory in the context of creating original works. Recommended: drawing and/or painting experience.
